C.S.Machines was founded in the 1970's to design and build forms presses (C.S. = Continuous Stationery). In 1982 we were asked, by a prominant member of the Sign Materials Supply industry, if we could adapt a machine to punch Sprocket Drive Holes down the side of rolls of vinyl/ paper laminate. This was the beginning of the use of vinyl cutting plotters by the sign industry. By 1984 we were mass producing a compact table-top rotary punching machine. These were distributed around the world.
Punching machines have been built to punch all known material widths on a range of machine types ranging from simple table-top to high speed automated machines. Our latest are capable of punching most of the newer plastics films.

Since then we have specialised in producing machines for the signs industry. Machines for both the sign materials distributers and the sign maker.

Other principle products which we have developed include:-

  Rewind/Measuring machines. - Used by the sign materials distributer to run-off measured lengths of vinyl for resale to the sign manufacturer.
  Storage and material handling racks. - Used by the materials distributer to assemble orders and sign maker to store and assemble materials for a particular job.
  Small machines to assist the sign maker in making his signs and to extend the range of products which can be made using his existing equipment.

We have a reputation for building sturdy reliable machines, that are easy to operate and produce an excellent product over a long life. Since they have been developed for the signs industry they do not suffer from many of the problems which occur when using adapted slitters or forms presses. Some of our earlier machines are still in use, we will always provide spare parts.
We provide a full after sales service. Consumables are available off the shelf.
